My name is Yamei Ross. I am a certified Dog Trainer, Canine Behaviour Specialist, Aggression Consultant, Professional Pet Dog Groomer and Dog Bite Prevention Educator.
I received my dog training certification {Honours} as well as my certificate in "Training Shelter Dogs" from Animal Behaviour College. I am a licensed “Be A Tree” presenter for Doggone Safe, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education for the purpose of providing increased child safety around dogs. The organization also provides support for dog bite victims. For more information about the “Be A Tree” program and Doggone Safe please visit the Bite Prevention Education page of my site. I am also a licensed presenter for Dogs & Storks, an organization whose mission it is to educate families with dogs, for life with baby. For more information about presentations or Dogs & Storks please visit the Bite Prevention Education page of my site.
I believe it is important to keep myself informed and aware of the latest scientific developments in dog training and behaviour modification. By attending various educational conferences, networking with other positive reinforcement trainers, reading the latest books and findings by well respected authorities in the field of canine behaviour, and taking continuing education courses, I can bring the most current methods and techniques to my clients.
I am a member of the International Positive Dog Trainers Association (IPDTA), the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers (CAPPDT), Doggone Safe, Dogs & Storks and Truly Dog Friendly.
I use only positive methods, lure and reward techniques and clicker training. It is my belief that pain free training will promote a positive and rewarding learning experience for your dog.
